SACC Planning Meeting

Roza Salih will be giving a report on her  visit to Diyarbakir Northern Kurdistan/South East Turkey with a Scottish delegation, and will be discussing recent events in Turkey with us. Roza is from Southern Kurdistan/Northern Iraq and is one the "Glasgow Girls" - asylum-seekers who as students at Drumchapel High School in 2005 campaigned successfully against the deportation of one of their class-mates.

Also to be discussed:

• Police Scotland's latest plans for stop and search;
• The progress of the Government's anti-democratic 'Prevent' strategy and our campaign against it

and brief updates/discussion of other civil liberties issues in Scotland.
