Justice for Sheku Bayoh - Public Meeting

Speakers from Sheku Bayoh's family, Edinburgh College EIS and Stand up to Racism

Sheku Bayoh died in Kirkcaldy police custody on Sunday 3 May.

From the death of Stephen Lawrence to the government’s contemptuous attitude to those fleeing for their lives today, institutional racism has blighted British society. But it is equally clear, from recent mass support for Syrian refugees, that many are appalled by this situation. Edinburgh College EIS has initiated a meeting on 22 October meeting which is supported by several organisations (including those listed below). We demand justice for the Sheku Bayoh family. Please come to the meeting to hear the full story from the family of what happened and discuss how Edinburgh can play its part in countering such racism.
